Mechanical Specifications


Accepted File Formats

  • Portable Document Format (PDF)
  • Adobe InDesign Document(INDD)
  • Encapsulated PostScript File (EPS)

We make every effort to translate files in other formats but we are not always successful and ad processing will be delayed.


Minimum Resolution

Black & White Line Art600 dpi (higher if art has fine detail)
Grayscale Photos240 dpi
Color Photos300 dpi

Web graphics are 72 dpi and are therefore unacceptable for print.

  • A hard copy of the layout should accompany each ad to ensure that it processes correctly
  • Include all artwork and fonts with InDesign files - we will make every attempt to match fonts but a hard copy is necessary for matching
  • Artwork should be saved with .tiff or .eps extensions
  • Make sure your PDFs do not contain any RGB images
  • Color in a document must be built using CMYK
