Columbus 8, Lehigh Valley 1: Jason Bergmann (2-2, 3.68) pitched six scoreless innings to win for the host Clippers. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out five. Bergmann (.333) also went 2-for-2 at the plate.

Harrisburg 5, Reading 4: Ian Desmond (.222) went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in the Senators’ home victory.

Frederick 6, Potomac 2: Orioles prospect Matt Wieters (.341) went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI to lead the visiting Keys past the Nationals. Potomac’s Ross Detwiler (1-2, 5.18) allowed four runs on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 51/3 innings.



Greensboro 11, Hagerstown 5: Bill Rhinehart (.343) went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI, but the Suns lost at home. Colton Willems (2-3, 4.40) allowed six runs in four innings.
