ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says a person has been struck and killed by a train on tracks north of the Garrett Park station between Rockville and Silver Spring today. Mr. Piringer says rail traffic, including MARC commuter train service, has been halted. The tracks are owned by CSX.
