Mike Green keeps skating. He was on the ice by himself again Friday before the rest of his Washington Capitals teammates jumped on for practice.

It was the sixth time in seven days he skated solo. Green hasn’t played since suffering a right groin strain Nov. 11.

There’s still no timetable for his return to practice or game action.

“He’s skating. He’s skating a bit, so that’s good news. He’s back on the ice,” coach Dale Hunter said. “It takes time and he’ll be coming along.”

The same can be said for Jay Beagle, who’s officially listed as week-to-week.

“He’s getting better,” Hunter said. “I just talked to him the other day, but it’s day-to-day too.”

Beagle hasn’t played since suffering a concussion Oct. 13.
