Welcome to the spotlight, Braden Holtby. Or, alternatively, Bienvenue a Montreal.

The Capitals rookie goalie makes his fourth straight start Tuesday night. He’s started against a division rival and on national television, but this one brings the most pressure.

This one’s at Bell Centre in Montreal – a house of horrors for the Caps last season but a cathedral for hockey.

“I’ve actually never been to Montreal, pretty excited to see the atmosphere there and to see the city,” Holtby said on a conference call Monday. “You always hear that Montreal’s everyone’s favorite place to play.”

Guys love being in the hockey hotbed – but it often takes the right kind of players to thrive in that atmosphere. Holtby did it at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Jan. 22, stopping 35 of 36 shots for the victory.
