PHILADELPHIA – Eric Fehr won’t make any declarations, but it seems like a sure bet that he’ll be back in the Capitals lineup Tuesday night at the Flyes.

“There’s a good chance I’ll play tonight,” Fehr said after the morning skate. “It’s not for sure yet but hopefully I’ll get in.”

Fehr skated line rushes with Matt Hendricks and Jay Beagle and came off the ice well before the guys who are typically healthy scratches. This time those roles were reserved for D.J. King and defenseman Tyler Sloan.

Fehr left last week’s game at the Canadiens with what’s believed to be a shoulder injury. It’s a problem that has dogged him throughout his hockey career but he shrugged off concerns about it.

“I just try not to worry about it. It’s part of the sport – that kind of stuff happens,” he said. “I just go out there, play the way I play and hope it works out.”

The Caps should be very happy to have him back. Not only does he add an offensive dimension back to the lineup that will be lacking without Alex Ovechkin, but he’s seemingly always played well against the Flyers. Fehr has four points in nine games against Philadelphia.

“They’re a really good team and they play a physical game,” Fehr said. “And that’s kinda the game I like to play is just muck it up in front of the net and look for loose pucks.”
