TAMPA, Fla. | Bruce Boudreau hasn’t exactly been forthcoming about game-day information all year, so why start now?

On Wednesday several hours before Game 4, the Capitals’ coach dodged questions about Mike Green and which goaltender will start with the season on the line.

Green, who suffered a lower-body injury, was seen limping around St. Pete Times Forum on Wednesday morning and Tuesday night. He did not play most of the third period.

“I’m not gonna talk too much about injuries today,” Boudreau said. “We’ll see who’s out there tonight.”

Sean Collins would get into the lineup if Green cannot go, though he wouldn’t confirm or deny that he is playing.

Similarly, Boudreau was coy about whether Michal Neuvirth or Semyon Varlamov will get the nod in net. Asked if he considered making the switch to Varlamov, the coach said “No.” He followed it up with “maybe” when asked if Neuvirth would start.

“I’m not gonna talk about players,” Boudreau said. “Any other questions?”

Plenty. But real answers may not come for a while. Varlamov stayed out on the ice late with Braden Holtby and the rest of the “Black Aces” and Karl Alzner talked about playing better in front of “Neuvy,” so indications are he will start.
