Agent: Jay Beagle doing 'really well,' only has 'minor' symptoms

Jay Beagle on Tuesday was placed on the Capitals’ injured reserve list, not a surprising move given the need to clear space for Cody Eakin.

It is not, however, a move that means his health is deteriorating, according to agent Wade Arnott.

In a message left with The Washington Times, Arnott said he spoke to Beagle late last week and reported that his client was “doing well, really well,” and that his symptoms from a suspected concussion are “minor.”

Arnott said it’s more precautionary now that Beagle sits out practice and that he’s making “really good progress.”

Beagle has not been made available to speak to the media since being injured Oct. 13 in a fight with Arron Asham. The team has not announced Beagle has a concussion, but Oct. 20 in Philadelphia, coach Bruce Boudreau was asked and said: “You can infer whatever you want to infer.”
