Dale Hunter is in as Capitals coach, but the rest of the staff will remain the same.
George McPhee confirmed in a text message that assistant coaches Bob Woods, Dean Evason and Blaine Forsythe will remain.
Olie Kolzig, who is currently the associate goaltending coach, is close with Hunter. He is the heir apparent to Dave Prior, something that makes even more sense now with the former captain at the helm.
