RALEIGH, N.C. | True to his optimism earlier in the day, Troy Brouwer was in the Capitals’ lineup Friday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

“I feel I’m ready to go and I have no doubts, no worries that I’ll get injured further,” he said after the morning skate. “I’m ready and want to play.”


Mathieu Perreault is set to be the second healthy-scratch forward along with D.J. King.
