Things are progressing according to plan for Jay Beagle. That was the idea coming from Bruce Boudreau Wednesday when asked about the concussed forward not skating at all.

Beagle, who has now missed 10 games after suffering a concussion Oct. 13, has not suffered a setback, according to the Capitals’ coach. The 26-year-old again worked out with strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish off-ice Wednesday, after skating Tuesday.

“That’s the plan was every second day he had a good, hard workout in the gym,” Boudreau said. “And he’ll be again on the ice [Thursday].”
