Michal Neuvirth didn’t make the trip to Philadelphia with the Capitals, as Tomas Vokoun started his fifth straight game and Dany Sabourin again served as the backup.

But Friday morning, Neuvirth was on the ice with his teammates for practice. Dany Sabourin was also on the ice. Neuvirth suffered a bruised foot in pregame warmups Oct. 10 and seemed to suffer a setback earlier this week.

The team is still calling him day-to-day.

The Caps were set to work on special teams Friday, as the jersey colors at practice seemed out of whack. They represented the power-play groupings.

In red were Dennis Wideman, Mike Green, Alex Ovechkin, Troy Brouwer and Nicklas Backstrom. In gray were John Carlson, Roman Hamrlik, Mike Knuble, Alexander Semin, Mathieu Perreault and Marcus Johansson.
