Yes, the Capitals don’t play again until Thursday, but this is ridiculous.

Monday appeared to be Capitals and their dogs day at Kettler, with canines all over the place. Michal Neuvirth’s dog, Tractor, ran into the locker room during interviews, and several dogs were on the bench for a Washington Animal Rescue League photoshoot.

Jeff Halpern spent some time on the ice with his dog (pictured above). Other players were out with their dogs, including Nicklas Backstrom and Dennis Wideman.

Karl Alzner said he’s doing his shoot at the Iwo Jima Memorial later in the day with his two dogs, Charlie and Murphy.
