Marcus Johnasson back at second-line center for Caps

Welcome back to normal, Marcus Johansson. At the Capitals’ Sunday practice, it looked like he would be back in the lineup for Monday night’s game against the Lightning.

“I’m here to play hockey and I want to play every day and I don’t want to watch the team play,” Johansson said. “It’s good to be back.”

That’s likely at the expense of Mathieu Perreault, who rotated with D.J. King as extras.

Here are the lines:

Alex Ovechkin – Nicklas Backstrom – Mike Knuble

Troy Brouwer – Marcus Johansson – Alexander Semin

Jason Chimera – Brooks Laich – Joel Ward

Matt Hendricks – Jeff Halpern – Jay Beagle.

Expect the D-pairings to remain the same – Karl Alzner with John Carlson, Roman Hamrlik with Mike Green and Jeff Schultz with Dennis Wideman.
