Tuesday seemed like progress for injured Washington Capitals goaltenders Michal Neuvirth and Tomas Vokoun. Wednesday could be looked at the same way for Vokoun, who again skated on his own, though Neuvirth did not practice with the Caps.

The 24-year-old goaltender, who suffered an apparent left leg injury that the team is calling “lower body,” last week, did not have an answer Tuesday to the question of whether he’d be ready at all during the Bruins series.

So for now, it’s Braden Holtby’s net, with Dany Sabourin serving as the backup. They were the two goalies on the ice for Wednesday’s practice.

The new guy was a familiar face from training camp: Mattias Sjogren, the 24-year-old center who left the Hershey Bears to go home to Sweden in November. The Caps recalled him Tuesday to serve as playoff depth.

Here’s a look at the lines, which were unchanged from the past two days:

Alex Ovechkin - Brooks Laich - Troy Brouwer

Jason Chimera - Nicklas Backstrom - Alexander Semin

Matt Hendricks - Jay Beagle - Marcus Johansson

Keith Aucoin - Mathieu Perreault - Joel Ward / Mike Knuble / Jeff Halpern / Cody Eakin / Mattias Sjogren
