The Washington Capitals took Tuesday off after a big win over the Detroit Red Wings and were back at their practice facility Wednesday.

Mostly every healthy player was on the ice, and Nicklas Backstrom skated before practice. Alexander Semin was the only one who did not skate. A team spokesman said Semin was taking a maintenance day.

Jason Chimera - Mathieu Perreault - Mike Knuble

Matt Hendricks - Jay Beagle - Jeff Halpern
