USA Hockey will hold an orientation camp at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in August in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Aug. 25-29 camp for the men’s national team will lay the groundwork for the Sochi Olympics, which begin Feb. 7, 2014.

“We are thrilled that Kettler Capitals Iceplex has been chosen by USA Hockey to host their 2013 U.S. Men’s National Team Orientation Camp,” Capitals general manager George McPhee said in a release. “This selection is a testament to the growing popularity of hockey in the Washington area and we feel there is no better place to hold the U.S. Olympic camp than the Nation’s capital.”

More details will be released at a later date. USA Hockey on Saturday named Penguins coach Dan Bylsma as head coach of the 2014 Olympic team.
