We’re through six innings here at Nationals Park, and we’re still waiting for the first run of the night to cross the plate.

The way John Lannan and Jair Jurrjens are going, it may be a while til it happens. Each starter has allowed five hits. Neither has been in any real danger along the way, though Lannan did load the bases with two outs in the fourth before striking out Jurrjens.

Just as the Braves have done, the Nationals have put several leadoff men on, including in each of the last three innings. But they haven’t been able to advance that man across the plate. Adam Dunn in particular is having his least-productive night of the season — 0-for-3 with two weak groundouts and a strikeout. Remember, he’s reached base in all 13 games so far this season. He may only get one more chance to extend the streak.
