“I lived in New York and used the monthly rail pass and I thought it was fantastic. It’s a great idea for commuters and those who ride Metro every day.”

Janine Collinge, 29, Capitol Hill, physician

“Before dealing with monthly fare cards, I would suggest reasonable accommodations for the deaf and hard of hearing. Where is the lighting flash to get our attention that we’re about to get off? I will always be the last person to know.”

Kisha Cave, 30, Maryland, government employee

“It would help people with their monthly budgeting and it would probably help employers who have special [transportation] benefits with their budget. It’s one less thing to think about in the waning days of every month.”

Teka Thomas, 36, Columbia Heights, contact specialist/attorney

“Excellent, if you can use it as many times as you want, even if I am just going out to have a good time. I would use the monthly card.”

Lorenzo Nixon, 50, Southeast, social worker
