End Q1: Navy 10, Wake Forest 0

← return to D1SCOURSE

Navy’s Rashawn King didn’t play two weeks ago against Army after learning of his father’s death as the result of an apparent heart attack less than 48 hours earlier.

He did start in today’s EagleBank Bowl, and has produced an especially memorable moment, returning a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown.

(It was the second defensive touchdown for Navy in a bowl game; the other was in the 1961 Orange Bowl).

EDIT: Navy just went up 13-0. Wake hasn’t overcome a deficit of more than seven points all season.
