Word was there was a chance Maryland might just be practicing on both Christmas Eve and Christmas, but it turns out it isn’t so.

Coach Gary Williams has given the Terps off both Tuesday and Wednesday, though the team has to be back on Thursday for a late-afternoon practice at Comcast Center. Two days later, the Terps play Bryant, which makes the desire to get some work in understandable.

Meanwhile, the football team’s exodus from College Park will begin early tomorrow afternoon after the Terps finish their last pre-Christmas practice.

Ralph Friedgen’s team will be off the 24th and 25th, then reconvene on the 26th for the team charter to Boise.
