I’m trying to be excited about next week’s trip to Boise for the Humanitarian Bowl.

Really.

But this is not good at all.

That’s a link to a 10-day forecast, which will take things through New Year’s Day. There is some sort of precipitation expected every day. There is snow expected every day through New Year’s Eve.

Here’s the condensed version for Maryland’s purposes:

26th: 22 degrees, few snow showers
27th: 34 degrees, snow shower
28th: 38 degrees, rain/snow showers
29th: 38 degrees, rain/snow showers
30th: 38 degrees, rain/snow showers
31st: 33 degrees, snow showers

Granted, it is several days away from the point a forecast will actually mean a ton. And all is not lost, since it looks like the early call is that it will be above freezing the 28th, 29th and 30th.

But I’m ready for three nights in Boise. Not two. Not four. Three. And something tells me that wish won’t necessarily come true.
