Instead, turnovers – and plenty of them – have Nevada very much in the thick of tying it as the fourth quarter begins.
If Chris Turner could take a mulligan on the third quarter, he surely would. A pick, two lost fumbles and the potential of those problems adding up to 14 Wolf Pack points … well, that’s no good at all for Maryland’s quarterback.
Of the Boise Seven, only Trey Covington has yet to play. And amazingly enough, Maryland still holds a 135-89 edge in rushing yards.
Attendance was just announced at 26,781. That’s probably not a turnstile count. But in any case, those who did bother to show are being treated to a truly wacky game.
