Groh the Younger departs

Apparently, Al Groh could blow off questions all he wanted.

It didn’t stop what the AP describes “a shakeup brought on by [Groh’s] annual review.”

Mike Groh is no longer Virginia’s offensive coordinator, and two other assistants are gone as well after the Cavaliers finished 5-7. It was Virginia’s second losing season in three years, but it didn’t cost Lord Groh his job.

Should be interesting to see who gets that job – and just how awkward a situation that will be for whoever follows Groh the Younger as Virginia’s offensive coordinator.
