Those guys you haven’t heard about in forever  – the guys with season-ending injuries – could be late arrivals at the Humanitarian Bowl.

Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen expressed some trepidation today about bringing some injured players out when the team travels to Boise on Dec. 26. It’s not like there’s much time to do anything, but Friedgen rightfully wonders how much mischief those guys could find themselves in with a couple extra days in a remote town.

“I don’t know how many of those guys I want in snowmobiles or coming down mountains with their boots on,” Friedgen said. “They can go to the game if they want.”

And they probably will. Whether it happens with or without walking boots – a popular accessory this season in the Gossett team house – has yet to be determined.
