The powers that be in the office asked for only one preseason All-America team as part of this week’s season preview.

Idiot that I am, I gave them five.

Editors kindly met me halfway, listing three teams in today’s dead-tree edition. The rest figured to be banished to the Land of Premature Opinions, where no one would ever see them.

Well, until it seemed obvious to drop them in here.

So here’s a full rundown of preseason All-Americans, from first team through fifth team. I’m sure I could go a couple more fives, but at that point it probably would get to be a little useless.

Not that a fourth team or a fifth team is all that useful.
