How much of a difference is Sam Swank’s absence for Wake Forest?

It’s already worth three points.

Shane Popham’s 40-yard attempt floated wide right. From the look of that kick, it’s dubious whether his range is much more than 40 even if he is accurate.

That’s a kick Swank makes eight times out of 10, if not more often than that.

So it’s still Maryland 7-0 despite a Da’Rel Scott fumble. Most importantly, it would seem Wake would be less likely to try a field goal outside the 20 the rest of the way.
