Without dipping generously into the Big Bag of Sportswriters’ Cliches, it would appear (per Comcast SportsNet) that Greivis Vasquez will declare for the NBA Draft but not hire an agent.

Of course, this isn’t a particularly new development. Back at the ACC tournament, he indicated this was very much in his plans.

But, in the famous words of LeVar Burton, you don’t have to take my word for it. Other folks heard it then, too.

So Vasquez has until June 15 to offer his final answer. And unlike the foregone conclusion of actually exploring the draft – a no-brainer for any junior who hasn’t done it before – that will actually be an intriguing decision.
