Ehrmann likely back; D'Agnes questionable

A quick injury update from Georgetown, where the Hoyas are still clinging to slim NCAA tournament hopes entering Saturday’s game against Penn State.

Long pole Barney Ehrmann, who tweaked a pre-existing ankle injury in last weekend’s rout of Rutgers and sat out the second half, seems likely to return for the Hoyas’ regular-season finale. It hasn’t been the most physically intense week for Ehrmann, but that shouldn’t keep him out.

“Barney’s going to be fine,” coach Dave Urick said.

Things are a little iffier for midfielder Dan D’Agnes, who has missed the last two games with a stress reaction in his foot. The absence of D’Agnes, who has scored nine goals in each of the last three years, has sent Georgetown scrambling to shuffle its midfield lines (at least a little more than usual) as it tries to chase down an improbable postseason berth.

“We’re stronger with him, and for his sake particularly, I would love to get him out there to play in what could conceivably be his final game,” Urick said.
