CHARLOTTESVILLE – Just got back to my laptop from Al Groh’s media day press conference here at Virginia.

After the three-hour drive down here, it was a pleasant surprise to hear as many one-liners as I did.

Maybe the best came when Groh was asked what the team gleaned from seeing, being a part of and perhaps suffering from what quarterback Jameel Sewell endured last season.

“That description kind of makes Jameel sound like a character out of the Bible,” Groh said.

Let’s see … while I’m no Biblical scholar, it would seem Sewell could be an Old Testament figure based on his difficulties.

At the very least, this is probably the last time you see the Old Testament referenced here. So enjoy it while it lasts.
