Syracuse is comfortably up on Providence right now (after a quick check of the Inside Lacrosse website), so let’s get this item out of the way for the week.

Only major change (besides Ohio State and Denver sinking) are Duke and North Carolina swapping spots. North Carolina might have had the result of the weekend in drilling Denver in Chapel Hill.

As for the locals, Virginia and Maryland collected expected victories by expected margins, and Navy fended off Ohio State at home. The Midshipmen don’t look like they’ll be an offensive juggernaut, but they’ll be better than a season ago. Their trip to North Carolina on Friday should be fascinating.

On to the just-submitted ballot for the Inside Lacrosse media poll, plus five more teams to keep an eye on.
