The plus-minus analysis is probably more fun to look at it in a tight game that goes down to the final possession than any other sort of contest. Wild fluctuations in blowouts don’t mean much.

But you can probably tell a little more about who was valuable through plus-minus when it comes down to the end.

Based on this metric, Michael Morrison was George Mason’s most valuable playuer. Up second was Dre Smith, though his best move all night might have been calming down guard Andre Cornelius after the freshman picked up two quick fouls in the second half.
