Halftime: Maryland 34, Duke 34

← return to D1SCOURSE

It took Maryland 40 minutes to score 44 points in Durham last month.

It took 20 for the Terps to make it to 34 this time around.

Needless to say, it’s quite the turnaround.

Maryland held a slight lead for much of the half before Duke tied things up. But here’s the basic reality: The Terps ran their offense crisply, took smart shots and had only four turnovers.

Oh, and Greivis Vasquez isn’t far off pace for ANOTHER triple-double (eight points, four rebounds, five assists).

This has the feel of a tight one throughout. A deadline-buster, to be sure, but a game befitting the electric atmosphere in the Comcastle tonight.
