Obviously, with the Maryland Rewind ‘08 series coming to a close this week, there isn’t much going on football-wise besides recruiting.

Oh, recruiting. There will be a couple days to contend with that early next month (signing day is Feb. 4). And that’s it, at least here.


There’s also the search for a new special teams coach, but there doesn’t appear to be anything new on that front right now.

But for those who are curious, spring practice gets underway March 24, with the usual Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday schedule in place for five weeks.

The spring game is April 25, coinciding with the ever-annoying Maryland Day, a campus-wide open house that attracts everyone under the sun who covets free t-shirts and food and ensures thoroughly snarled traffic on campus because of the amoebic mass of humanity roaming around.

Needless to say, it is tough to look forward to the spring game.

But if you are, it’s on April 25.
