ANNAPOLIS – Just reached Alumni Hall in an interesting local Patriot League game.

Kaleo Kina has 18 points for Navy. Garrison Carr has 16 for American (including a 4-for-4 from 3-point land).

The difference? Carr’s getting a whole lot more help – namely from Jordan Gilmore (10 points), who doubled American’s lead in the final minute.

That said, it has been an entertaining 20 minutes. American is shooting 56.7 percent, while Navy is at 57.7 percent. There’s only been a dozen turnovers, things haven’t been sloppy.

The winner remains in decent shape in the PL title chase. Remember, it’s all about the home courts for the higher seed in the Patriot tournament, and American is tied in the loss column with Holy Cross entering tonight’s games. Navy is a game behind the Crusaders despite dealing Holy Cross its only league loss last week.

More to come later.
