The first big piece of offseason business is in the books at Maryland.

Wideout Darrius Heyward-Bey is going pro, giving up his final season of eligibility. It certainly was a strong possibility from the start of the season, though it’ll be interesting to see just how crowded the class of wide receivers becomes. Hakeem Nicks (North Carolina) and Kenny Britt (Rutgers) are already there, and some bigger names (Michael Crabtree? Jeremy Maclin?) could make the wideout class even deeper.
