KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Just wrapped up here at the Sprint Center, where Memphis dodged a bullet and escaped Cal State Northridge 81-70.

The Tigers trailed 62-56, but summoned a 25-6 run to dispatch the Matadors.

Roburt Sallie dropped 35 points for the Tigers, while reserve Rodrigue Mels had 15 points for CS Northridge.

The winner gets either Maryland or California, with the opening tip 25 minutes away.
