KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Loyal readers might be wondering an obvious question.

Now that Maryland’s season is over, what exactly will be filling this space in the next few months.

The answer: Plenty.

First off, just because Maryland was knocked from the road to the Final Four, the same isn’t true of me. I’ll be in Indianapolis next weekend for the Midwest regional (a cheaper trip than either Boston or Memphis), and then it’ll be on to the Final Four in Detroit.

There will also be some season in review items on Maryland, and there certainly is plenty to dissect now that the Terps have reached the end of the road.

Plus, there’s the obvious questions of whether Greivis Vasquez is staying, Lance Stephenson is coming and whether any reserves are going.

There is spring football on the horizon, with practice starting up again on Tuesday. Coverage will be intermittent the first few weeks, then escalate once basketball is done with.

There’s also a women’s basketball subregional tomorrow at Comcast Center. If all goes well, there will be some tidbits from Maryland’s opener against Dartmouth.

And, of course, there will be plenty of lacrosse here as well. Maybe not as much as I’d like, especially with Georgetown and Navy struggling like they are. But both Maryland and Virginia are thriving, and I know better than to count out Johns Hopkins and UMBC. Things could yet be very interesting on the road to Foxboro(ugh).

Plus, there’s a couple more wrinkles I’m looking to add that seemed to make more sense to launch at a less hectic time.

So, needless to say, things aren’t slowing down any time soon, and everyone’s encouraged to remain on board for the ride.
