Delmarva/D.C. rankings

It would seem there’s just 20 minutes of basketball from guaranteeing a Delmarva/D.C. presence in the NCAA tournament.

VMI is already in the Big South final. Radford, up 10 at the break, is a half away from joining the Keydets.

Fortunately, their performance doesn’t alter the landscape of the Delmarva/D.C. rankings I cobbled together earlier today.

Of the 29 teams in the region, only three (Liberty, Longwood and Navy) have had to turn in their uniforms. Well, assuming they don’t get invited to a lower-tier postseason tournament, which could happen (especially in the case of Liberty).

Here’s the full rundown, with records through last night:

1. Maryland (18-11)
2. VCU (21-9)
3. American (22-7)
4. George Mason (20-9)
5. Virginia Tech (17-12)
6. Old Dominion (20-9)
7. Georgetown (15-13)
8. Radford (19-11)
9. Morgan State (19-11)
10. VMI (23-7)

12. Navy (19-11)
13. Virginia (9-17)
14. Richmond (16-14)
15. James Madison (18-13)
16. Mount St. Mary’s (17-12)
