Maryland moved up a couple spots without playing last night, and the Terrapins could rise a few more tonight.

After all, a Penn State loss and a South Carolina loss would help Maryland. So too would a Providence loss.

There’s such a tendency to get a tunnel vision on a team that it’s easy to ignore where that team sits in the larger scheme. And Maryland, while anything but a sure thing, looks better by the day with all the comparable teams around them stumbling.

A bracket is coming later in the afternoon, but this should sort things out for now. One change in the at-large field; Providence moves in at Florida’s expense.
