One last set of numbers to munch on before the opening tip of the CAA final.

In short, George Mason was very good when its starters were on the floor last night against Towson, and experienced a dropoff when its reserves played.

Which, really, is sort of intuitive. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

So as the Patriots play for the third time in three days, make no mistake they are best off with their starting five on the floor. Again, that’s not an earth-shattering statement. And since only two guys have averaged more than 30 minutes over the last two nights (Cam Long and John Vaughan), it should happen.
