The latest on Phipps: "Probable ACL tear"

← return to D1SCOURSE

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Just got an update from Maryland on goalie Brian Phipps‘ status.

It’s not good.

Based on tests that can be done at the stadium (i.e. not an MRI), Phipps has what is being described as a “probable left ACL tear.”

So it’s now the Jason Carter Show, regardless of whether Maryland can advance to the semifinals.

Carter, by the way, has a save and three goals allowed in a little more than a quarter’s work. Maryland trails 5-3.

More to come.
