Duke advances; Semifinal order set

← return to D1SCOURSE

ANNAPOLIS – The final four is set now that Duke has outlasted North Carolina 12-11 to clinch its fourth final four in five years.

And so now the final four is set, with three repeats from last year – Duke, Syracuse and Virginia – and Cornell sliding in as the fourth team.

Word is the Duke-Syracuse game will be the opener at Foxboro(ugh) next weekend. Virginia-Cornell will follow.

A bit more still to come from the quarterfinals, where the best was quite clearly saved for last.
