FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – I absolutely did not see this happening.

Cornell jumped to a 4-1 lead (now 5-1) after a quarter, shredding the Virginia defense quickly to move a lot closer than expected to reaching its first title game since 1988.

Virginia goalie Adam Ghitelman hasn’t made a save yet, and that’s sort of an issue as well.

Still working on my Duke-Syracuse story, but needless to say that’s one that sort of writes itself.

But at this rate, the second game could turn out to be equally ugly.
