TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – It’s seven quarters and counting without an offensive touchdown for Maryland.

Jamarr Robinson nearly had Torrey Smith for a long score late in the first quarter, but the connection was just slightly out of sync.

Meanwhile, Florida State had a touchdown march capped when Jermaine Thomas dropped a carry, collected the bounce and strolled into the end zone. The extra point clanked off the right upright – and through for a score.

If that isn’t a classic Maryland ‘09 play, I don’t know what is.

It’s 7-0 Seminoles early in the second half, though Maryland now has the ball around midfield.
