RALEIGH, N.C. – An interesting 30 minutes are in the books at Carter-Finley Stadium, with N.C. State up 24-21.

Chris Turner suffered a left leg injury. Isaiah Ross got hurt. So did Anthony Wiseman.

Ralph Friedgen’s penchant for calling timeouts in an attempt to get the ball back came back and bit him … almost. N.C. State nearly got a touchdown out of that scheming, but Richard Taylor’s interception averted that disaster. Taylor nearly got nabbed for stepping out of the end zone and back in, but replay officials upheld the original ruling.

One thing is obvious from the first look at Robinson is that Maryland has no faith in his ability to throw. Otherwise, LaQuan Williams wouldn’t have more pass attempts (one) than Robinson (none) so far.

More to come later.
