There are 68 bowl slots available to major-college teams.
After this weekend, 81 of those 120 programs have .500 or better records.
But remember, there are scant few games against Division I-AA opponents left. So there are still a lot of losses to be dealt.
Of course, 15 teams already know their postseason status, the upshot of playing really well or really poorly in the first half and change of the season.
While we won’t know if this will be the year there aren’t enough teams to go around to all the bowls, these teams’ status is certain (Boise State, despite its six wins, is not included because it plays a 13-game schedule):
