Early Q2: Duke 7, Maryland 3

DURHAM, N.C. – It’s pouring here – maybe worse than last week.

That has only added to the dour proceedings, which took a nasty turn when Antwine Perez had to be carted off after injuring himself while tackling Duke’s Donovan Varner.

There’s been a lot of Caleb Porzel, not nearly as much of Davin Meggett. Maryland actually has the edge in turnover margin, (+1), but not on the scoreboard (7-3).

Thaddeus Lewis already has 119 yards passing. This game is going to be ugly, not to mention long considering all the throwing that is sure to happen – Duke because that’s what they do, Maryland because it might have to to keep pace.
