Maryland couldn’t make it through a victory without a significant injury.

Tailback Da’Rel Scott broke his left wrist on a run in the third quarter, leaving Maryland with a decided committee situation going forward.

(UPDATE, 5:31 p.m.: Being told it is a broken radius, which is one of the two bones in the forearm)

Coach Ralph Friedgen said he believes Scott will miss the rest of the season. Scott will undergo an operation Tuesday.

In place of the junior, Davin Meggett and Gary Douglas are the obvious possibilities to play significant roles. Also possible factors: D.J. Adams, who was elevated to fourth-string a couple weeks back, and Morgan Green.
