Three Mids earn Patriot League honors

Understandably, Navy’s haul from the Patriot League postseason awards isn’t quite what it normally is this season.

The Midshipmen, who completed a 4-9 season on Saturday, missed the Patriot tournament for the first time since joining the league in 2004. Still, they had three players honored Tuesday by the conference.

Freshman Tucker Hull was named the league’s rookie of the year after scoring 23 goals and adding 15 assists.

Meanwhile, midfielder Andy Warner (12 goals, 21 assists) and defenseman Michael Hirsch (17 turnovers) were named to the all-conference first team. It was the second straight year Hirsch secured the honor.
